Cleaner Cinnamon Donuts

Who doesn’t love donuts?! Here is a quick recipe for tasty donuts using cleaner and simpler ingredients.

Cleaner Cinnamon Donut

Course Dessert


  • Coconut Oil Cooking Spray
  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flower
  • 1/2 Cup Vanilla Oat-milk
  • 1/4 Stick Good Quality Butter (for dough)
  • 1/4 Stick Good Quality Butter (for icing)
  • 1/2 Cup Wholesome Organic Cane Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extra
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Heavy Shakes Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Cup Naturally Sweetened Apple Sauce
  • Pinch Sea Salt


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F

  2. Using one stick of butter, cut 1/4 of it and melt.

  3. Mix flour; cinnamon; sugar; sea salt; 1/4 stick of butter; Oat-milk; apple sauce; cinnamon and baking powder into a nice blend.

  4. Spray donut whole sheet with coconut oil spray.

  5. Pour dough into the holes.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes depending on desired texture and oven.

  7. Let cool for a few minutes.

  8. Mix a few heavy shakes of cinnamon and 2-3 Tbs of sugar in a mixing small bowl

  9. Melt 1/4 of stick of butter in a separate mixing small bowl.

  10. Dip donuts in butter and then in cinnamon and sugar bowl.

  11. Enjoy!
