Growing veggies, fruits, and herbs from seeds take patience and grit. It is amazing how too little water during this time can have the same effect as too much when your plant is grown. During the seedling stage, it is important to keep your medium moist. I spray my seedling with water, one to two times a day with a spray bottle. You want to keep the medium moist but at the same time, you never want them flooded with water. It is recommended to keep the medium moist daily until 3 sets of leaves appear. From there you can begin scaling back your watering.
For my grown herbs and veggies, I use a watering stick to check the soil’s moisture once they are set or mature.
