In your food processor or blender, first place basil and pine nuts. Give it a few good pulses.
Then, add in the cheese and garlic. Give it a few good pulses. Keep in mind you will want to scrape down the sides of the ingredients in between pulses so it blends well.
Then, slowly add in the extra-virgin olive oil as the processor is running. If you have a blender, just add in the extra-virgin olive.
Season with your sea salt and cracked pepper.
