Farmers Market Staples For Multiple Meals

Sometimes all you need is a few items for an array of different meal options. Some of these Farmers Market staples help me create or add flavor to a variety of meals. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Good Quality Pasta
  • Spinach
  • Local Honey
  • Fresh Made Marinara Sauce
  • Pesto
  • Eggs

Meals made using them:

Mediterranean Egg Scramble:

Scramble 2-3 eggs, add sauce, and top with pesto.

Spinach Egg Scramble:

Saute spinach and then scramble in two eggs.

Pesto Pasta:

Make pasta as farmer markets label direct and top with a dollop of pesto.

Pair with sauteed spinach.

Pesto and Marinara Pasta:

Make pasta as farmer markets label direct and warm marinara sauce. Add sauce to pasta and top with a dollop of pesto.

Pair with grilled sauteed spinach.

Honey

Sometimes I get a sweet tooth and nothing like a little of nature’s local honey to help cure it. You can add it to teas, yogurts, crackers, or homemade dressing recipes.
