Cheesy (without the Cheese ) Brussels Sprouts and Onions

Pair this hearty vegetable side with a protein or quick healthy frozen entre.

Cheesy (without the cheese) Brussels Sprouts & Onion Sauté

Ingredients

  • 1 Pack (Trader Joe's) Shaved Brussels Sprouts
  • 1-1.5 Onion(s)
  • Bragg's Nutritional Yeast
  • Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • Avocado Cooking Spray
  • Sea Salt
  • Cracked Pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop onion or onions.

  2. Spray pan with avocado cooking spray.

  3. Heat on medium-high heat.

  4. Add onions and shaved Brussels sprouts.

  5. Add in a little extra-virgin olive oil. Reduce to medium heat.

  6. I like to cover the pan with a lid for a few minutes. But keep an eye on it so you don't burn anything.

  7. Remove lid. Add a little more extra-virgin olive oil. Sauté for another minute or two.

  8. Plate and season with sea salt, cracked pepper, and nutritional yeast.
