Light Side of Health

Rosemary, Herbs and The Holidays!

My rosemary, after a lot of trial and error, is now in full bloom. I plan on bringing them in to add to the Holiday decor. Did you know Rosemary is loaded with antioxidants and does wonders for skin and hair as well? Rosemary has been reported to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and anticancer properties.  Rosemary is also a natural antibiotic and can be made into a tea or added to food when you feel under the weather. Further, it helps keep the skin healthy and regulates metabolism. Rosemary is an excellent source of vitamin A and is rich in manganese, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorous.

It goes great with beef, pork, chicken, and fish. It also can be used to make delicious mocktails or herbal cocktails!

Plus, did you know rosemary used to signify Fidelity and was given to brides as wedding gifts back in the day?
